Are you using videos to market your services and products?  If you are, a big high-five to you.  If you haven’t started yet, you probably want to start – and soon.  Video content is more than cute dog and cat videos — but who doesn’t love them – video tells the story of your business, your services and products, and connects with your clients.  More people will engage with a business if they see videos.

Video viewership is growing by leaps and bounds and is the top method that customers use to choose products.  Video allows people to connect with your brand According to HubSpot, over half of customers want to see video content from brands.

If you are looking for more clients, and who isn’t, Google will rank your website higher if it has embedded videos.  And since Google owns YouTube, your YouTube channel also increases your ranking.  According to Moovly, 55% of all web traffic involves video content and that is expected to grow to 75% by 2020.

Adding video content to your site is not difficult. It takes time, planning, and effort.  One way to add video content is through blogging.  There are many bloggers who set up cameras in the office or even in their cars on the way to work.  Anywhere you have space and time, you can record a blog video.  Just make sure you plan and practice it before recording.  If you are comfortable with the material, you’ll eliminate a lot of the gaps and ums while you search for the right word or idea.

Another idea for adding video content is animation.  Animated videos are great for your website and your social media. Customers are more likely to watch a short, animated video on Facebook over reading a message on a static picture.  And video allows you to connect with the audience emotionally.  Since most people buy on emotion, you have a much greater chance to convert a viewer into a client with video. In 2016, people watch over 8 billion videos or 100 million hours of videos!  That’s a lot of video, and it’s only going to grow.
